I was so excited to make this card. Having never used this layering technique
before I was both excited and nervous.
I have to say that I am very pleased with the result and am anxious to try it again!
Next time though I will start my layering from the top instead of the bottom!
I used the large flower and the leaf cluster
from the Altenew Beautiful Day
layering stamp and die set.
Groups of three were colored using
Altenew Crisp Dye Ink Cubes
in Red Cosmos, Golden Sunset,
and Pocket Full of Sunshine.
The leaf clusters were colored using
the Green Fields Cube Set
Using an alphabet die set
I cut the sentiment letters
and used low tack tape to
transfer that to the card front.
The leaf clusters were stamped
using the Altenew Green Fields
Crisp Dye Ink Cubes and cut with
the coordinating die
I was nervous about being able
to place the die cuts in a pleasing
arrangement, but was pleased with
my results.
However, next time I will work from
the top down rather than from the
bottom up.
I was a little nervous about
cutting the overhanging bits
but pleased with the result
I used the prototype to
help me with placement
of the lettering and was
pleased to have a set
similar to the example
same stamp and die set
as well as the leaf sprigs
